Slip past the intrepid Dawn Patrols of Sturgate's finest to win a free breakfast!

    Breakfast Patrol Fly-in Rules

Local defence will mount a dawn patrol around the airfield on guard for foreign invaders! Patrols will be 3 to 5 nm from the airfield in quadrants; North East, South East, South West & North West. Two defending aircraft will patrol each quadrant, one patrolling high and one low.

The aim is to arrive within 1 nm radius of airfield and announce joining to land WITHOUT being spotted by the patrolling aircraft. Invaders should call their position no less than 1 nm from the airfield or when spotted. Earlier radio calls are welcome however telling the patrol where you are may forefit your breakfast!

Invaders that are spotted will have their call sign and position announced over the radio (Sturgate 130.30) and recorded by ground defence (control).

Pilots who successfully get within 1 nm without being spotted win a free breakfast for themselves and their crew!

The fun commences at 9:00 until 12:30. PPR not required. There will be no landing fee for the fly-in. Avgas is avaiable although payment can only be accepted in cash or cheque.

This is a fun event, however the highest standards of airmanship are required at all times. Keep a good lookout! No foolish behavior will be tolerated!

Should the weather be unsuitable, for example poor visibility, the patrol will not be held and visitors will be invited to join Lincoln Aero Club members for a breakfast fly-in (for a small fee). Cancellation will be posted on the web and regular radio announcements made on the day.
